Overview

GoCart is a scalable multi-vendor e-commerce platform built as a final year project. It supports customers, vendors, and administrators through a centralized system.

Key Features

Multi-vendor platform: Developed a scalable multi-vendor e-commerce platform supporting customers, vendors, and administrators through a centralized system.
RESTful APIs: Built secure RESTful APIs for authentication, product management, order processing, inventory tracking, and vendor operations.
Database management: Integrated Prisma ORM for efficient database management, query optimization, and schema migrations.
Access control and workflows: Implemented role-based access control (RBAC), vendor dashboards, product catalog management, and real-time order workflows.
Background automation and documentation: Automated background processes using Inngest and documented the complete system architecture, database design, and API workflows in a 40+ page Software Design Document (SDD).
AI-powered features (in development): Currently developing AI-powered features including an intelligent backend control system and voice-based shopping assistant for automated customer support and product recommendations.

What the live demo shows

The deployed storefront opens with a promotional banner and a hero section, followed by latest and best-selling product sections, a shop page and individual product pages. The home page also has a customer-service section and a newsletter sign-up.
